Born June 5, 2008, Quentin’s Cheyenne Moon was sired by Cangalli Gold’s Quentin, son of Snowmass Cangalli Gold. Her dam, Connie Chung, daughter of SA Hucklefinn, is a brown huacaya alpaca. Cheyenne is 5/8 Peruvian and 3/8 Chilean. Right from birth Cheyenne was a gorgeous girl. Weighing in at 17 pounds, she was on her feet within a short time and within a day was pronking with her fellow crias.
In October 2009, at the Green Mountain Alpaca Fall Spectacular in Essex Junction, Vermont, Cheyenne took the first place blue ribbon in the full fleece beige yearling female category out of 11 alpaca. The judge said Cheyenne Moon was “feminine, carrying an even fleece, good fiber structure from skip to tip, density … really packing on the fiber, good handle, good brightness, well grown out.”
She was bred to Archangel’s Jered of Maple View Farm Alpacas in July 2010 and gave birth to Jared's Cherokee Moon on June 23, 2011. See Cherokee's first day photo below.
